We are a multidisciplinary advisory firm in the Netherlands, bringing together experts in sustainability consulting, urban planning, architecture, industrial design, and economics.

Our team has extensive experience in material flow analysis, urban mining, scope 3 analysis, carbon budgeting, nature impact analysis, and circular urban planning. We are committed to rethinking urban and built environment systems with curiosity and boldness. We challenge conventions to deliver genuinely sustainable and structural solutions grounded in data analysis and first-principles thinking, prioritizing people, ecosystems, and future generations.

In collaboration with the Centre of Expertise on the Regional Circular Economy, we have developed a material flow analysis and impact analysis for the three region's in Limburg

Arnhem has a massive construction project planned; in this project, we are examining the extent to which we can reduce the environmental impact by using materials recovered from demolition in the new-build project and combining this with a bio-based approach.

Based on Amsterdam’s climate targets and the Paris Agreement, we have set a CO₂ threshold per square metre to reduce the environmental impact of the paving on Strandeiland.

E-waste contains high volumes of Critical Raw Materials (CRM's). To provide a basis for developing a policy agenda for a circular approach, we identified the CRM's that compose the e-waste in Amsterdam, as well as its scope.

Monitoring the circularity of building materials helps to determine which materials can be reused and in what ways. We assess how to best do this in order to evaluate how much of the potential for reuse is currently realised on the national level.

Together with BURA our team has identified six effective CO₂-reducing design principles for the Central Government Property Agency, which establishes CO₂ emissions for large-scale area developments for the next decades

The results of our study on the possibilities for further development of the Monitor Sustainable Infrastructure provide guidance for the next steps such as improved data-architectuur, greater flexibility for users and and a monitor that can also be used for surfaces other than paved areas.

In this research, we broaden the perspective on sustainable construction. Where the current focus lies on the impact of building materials on climate change, we examine the nature risks of building materials. We offer recommendations for nature-inclusive supply chains.

We analyze TBI Woonlab's housing construction materials to identify the top opportunities for replacing new materials with reused ones, aiming to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions and improve environmental performance scores (MPG).

We support the one of the largest construction companies in the Netherlands harmonizing their CSRD Scope 3 reporting process.

We conduct detailed material flow analyses for the Dutch construction sector, mapping resource use and assessing environmental impacts like the Environmental Cost Indicator (MKI) and CO₂​. Our analysis includes future scenarios to provide insights that support policymakers and the industry in achieving circularity and climate objectives for 2030 and 2050.

Addressing the question of how urban design can support both low-carbon cities and spatial quality, we assist the Rijksvastgoedbedrijf in building and sharing knowledge on this topic and integrating findings into established planning procedures.

NWB Bank asked us to help think through how to measure and monitor circularity for its key client groups: water authorities and housing associations. We developed a roadmap toward a standardized set of indicators and a practical monitoring approach for the years ahead.
